Our Process
We're excited to work with you! Here's what you can expect...
All of our work begins with a 30-minute complimentary phone call followed by an in-person consultation. The live call establishes a personal connection between us, which is important to our philosophy. On the call, we’ll briefly discuss your project and our services, we’ll answer any questions you may have, and schedule an in-person consultation.
Consultation:
Our in-person consultation is the foundation for an action plan that merges your project’s needs with our years of expertise and resources. This meeting is critical to our process as it gives us the opportunity to:
-
Evaluate the work
-
Discuss your goals, assets, and challenges
-
Learn about you/your family’s daily flow and how your spaces are utilized
-
Propose options and solutions
-
Assess the job site
-
Share our expertise
-
Offer inspiration about the potentials and possibilities
We may even take some initial measurements and create a quick inventory of your items in anticipation of the designs, action plan, and a preliminary supply list.
There is no doubt, you will leave our consultation excited and filled with hope and valuable direction!
Consultation Fees:
-
$125 for up to 1.5 hours and $150 per hour beyond. Payment is required directly upon completion of the consultation via cash, check or major credit card.
-
We charge an additional $75 if the consultation is scheduled after 6pm during the week or anytime on the weekend, as that takes us away from our families.
-
Our consultation fees reflect the expertise of our team, the quality of the insight we share, and our time.
-
Our in-person consultation can simply be a one-time meeting leaving you with the knowledge and inspiration we’ve shared for you to execute on your own, or it can lead to contracting with us for our services.
Moving Beyond a Consultation:
As soon as you are ready to move forward with our services, we encourage you to contract with us immediately to secure time in our schedule. Just like our in-home consultations, all of our time is on a first-come, first served basis. For large projects, we may be booking out months to a year in advance.
A signed contract and nominal deposit is required to move forward with our services. Deposit amounts depend on the size of the project and are applied against the cost of the total project. Our contract outlines the scope of work, confirms available dates, outlines our terms, including labor, and details our staffing, scheduling, and payment policies. Some of our clients request a Confidentiality Agreement or a Certificate of Insurance – both of which we are happy to provide. For our moving services, a timeline is established and shared ensuring all parties are on the same page.
